As a continuation from yesterday’s article, the author goes on to talk about the different types of Maglev trains around the world some being based in Japan, Linimo (Japan), South Korea, Shanghai, and Changsha (China). In Japan, tracks and trains have been open to use since 1969. “The Chuo Skinkansesn started its development in the 70s” and is still under development as it is within hopes that it will cover major towns such as Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka! Its crazy to think that what seems to be a simple concept, can take decades to perfect and develop for safe public use. The trains that will travel along this route are expected to travel up to 505km/h which is 313.79245 mph!

The track in Linimo has been in operation since March 2005 and it covers 9000 meters at at top speed of 62.1371192 mph which is sufficiently fast considering that it makes frequent stops. Maglev trains give off little to no noise impact to surrounding communities which is not seen in traditional trains, making it a huge plus allowing a more quieter and peaceful environment in cities. Due to the speed limit, this train can navigate through poor weather but that made me wonder if there are certain features in the trains that are exposed to the outdoor weather versus the ones that simply travel underground.
