Today was a fun class period! The class took part in preparation for a DaVinci video that will be presented to the board. This video is meant to show what exactly DaVinci is, its purpose, and the experience it gives for the students. We worked together to create a video of everyone saying their project idea in the minimum amount of words as I said “Magnetic Levitation”. It was an interesting process because not everyone had the best connection but we made it work after a lot of trial and error. This showed me that not everything will go the way you intended but by working around it and not taking it to the heart, you are able to find bigger and better solutions. It was fascinating to finally being able to hear all of my classmates ideas as Morgan is researching Plastic Pollution Prevention, Josh is creating an app, Zach is building a greenhouse, and Anthony is making a 3D printer shoe dyer, etc. I can’t wait to see these ideas come to life! After class, Mrs. Vanetten and I had an interview that would be part in the video as I answered questions relevant to the class and to myself. Knowing that with my project I have come across a few roadblocks, she asked me how I am able to get around them and how DaVinci has helped me with that. I was also asked what makes this class different from the rest. DaVinci is so unique as everything is so independent. At first it may seem overwhelming but once you find a passion you are able to create a project that is personal and beneficial to yourself and help you dip your toes into something you may want to do in the future. I am very excited to see which doors DaVinci will open for me:)
