Today was a great learning experience as I was able to get feedback from classmates on my project. The class was split into two groups in which we shared our project pitch and used the technique of approaching problems by giving positive feedback rather than shutting down an idea. Before today, I didn’t realize how many problems I could run into with a hovering magnetic shopping cart. Some of the questions I was asked were “How do you get the groceries from the store to your car since only the store floor is magnetic? How can the magnetic field be made safe for anyone who has surgical implants?”. I was approached with problems and concerns that I myself didn’t consider. Moving forward, I know that this system must solve and answer all of these questions rather than create more problems.
