Today is the first official day of the marking period project! There are so many routes I could go but I started off by looking into any existing problems of grocery carts and the process of going grocery shopping. Most problems were based around broken carts and wheels, traffic jams, shoppers not returning carts, and workers going out in poor weather to collect the carts. I decided that the new system would be able to magnetize and collect all carts which would give employees less of a duty but it would be more functional. It would also prevent carts from being left in areas that could become a possible danger for any traveling cars. For example, a cart being left on the curb could then roll away, hit a car, and cause damage. Another idea would be creating a new more functional cart, that because of the magnets would no wheels. That is still a fresh idea that has not been given much of a thought process.
