Today we were assigned our first official project: to create a paper airplane trick shot! Using our creativity we were able to come up with an idea whether it was making the plane make a cool turn or go through an obstacle. My original plan was to roll a hula-hoop at a distance and then throw the airplane in time so it is able to go through the hoop; however, due to weather I was unable to do so. I went back to the drawing board looking for inspiration and decided to attempt to pop a water balloon with a tooth pick that would be attached to the plane. I ran into another problem as the water balloons kept popping before I was ever able to throw the airplane. Finally, I decided to simply pop a balloon at a distance with a toothpick attached to the airplane. As they say, practice makes perfect and I had many failed attempts. After the first few missed shots I decided to move the balloon to a spot that I kept hitting repeatedly. My main goal was to pop the balloon but I soon realized that the toothpick was not sharp enough so I settled for knocking the balloon down which I accomplished. The link below will lead you to the videos of some of the attempts and final result. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1njP7EtnehvVBRHKWBRKpR1Sz0EUA1RM4yGTBUybvwZs/edit#slide=id.p
